President and CEO, Defence Construction Canada
James Paul was appointed to the position of president and chief executive officer of Defence Construction Canada (DCC) in September 2009. He is a Canadian technology industry veteran, with a career spanning almost 30 years in a variety of Canadian technology firms. James has worked extensively on managing major infrastructure projects—from the proposal stage through to contract award and delivery—in particular, for critical infrastructure projects in the civilian, government and defence sectors. Prior to his appointment with DCC, he served as chair of the Canada Science and Technology Museum Corporation’s board of trustees. An Ontario lawyer, he earned a law degree from the University of Ottawa after studying in the business program at Carleton University.
